American Cancer Society (ACS) is a nationwide, community-based, voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. ACS materials include pamphlets, booklets, brochures, bookmarks and shower cards providing general information on pap tests, and other cancer related materials.
National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC) is a national membership organization with state chapters. Its informational packet contains information about a wide range of ovarian cancer issues and resources. NOCC promotes awareness and education for the general public and medical community and funding for research to find an early detection mechanism.
Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance (OCRFA) is a national umbrella organization works to increase public and professional understanding of ovarian cancer, and to advocate for more effective diagnostics, treatments, and cure. Members include survivors and family members, local and national organizations, and health care providers. Materials include awareness information and national policy issue papers.
Penn Ovarian Cancer Research Center (OCRC) The Penn Ovarian Cancer Research Center (OCRC), established in 2007, serves as a catalyst to promote comprehensive and interdisciplinary research on ovarian cancer in collaboration with the Jordan Center for Gynecologic Cancer, the Abramson Cancer Center, the Basser Center for BRCA, the Wistar Institute, and the Penn Immunotherapy Program, as well as numerous local, national and international investigators and clinicians.
Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation is a non-profit, 501c3 organization created as a tribute to the life, character, and immense strength of Sandy Rollman who passed away from advanced ovarian cancer in May 2000. The organization's mission is to fight for those who are fighting, speak for those who have fallen silent, and provide for those who are working toward the end of ovarian cancer.
